Here's a real mystery record! This acetate has no labels, so there are no clues as to the actual artist or song titles.
I've made educated guess as to what the songs might be called.
Someone wrote "Pitney Sound" on these, but to me these are more in a Billy Joe Royal/Arthur Alexander vein than a Gene Pitney bag.
Coincidentally, Royal recorded a song called "Heart's Desire", but this isn't it.
Still, I wouldn't be surprised if these turn out to be Joe South compositions, since they're similar to what he was writing for the
Lowery folks in Atlanta at the time.
(I also hear a touch of Buzz Cason in "My Heart's Desire". Surely someone reading this must know more about these tracks!)
