Description

Rare original 1962 red stereo copy of Liszt's Mazeppa and Hungarian Rhapsodies 4 & 5, and the Hungarian Fantasy for Piano and Orchestra, conducted by Herbert von Karajan, and featuring Shura Cherkassky on piano, on Deutsche Grammophon SLPM 138 692. This copy plays near perfectly most of the way through but has two moments of clicking, one on each side. On side one near the end of the 5th Rhapsody is a small mark that clicks lightly for about 30 seconds, and on side one near the beginning of the Fantasy there is a click for about 10-15 seconds. Other than those I heard nothing else. Plays beautifully. The cover is slightly worn, with some wrinkles and creases, edgewear and corner wear, but no rips or splits, and still shiny and well intact.
