Litter ~ $100 Fine Hexagon 681 Warick Productions Deep Groove ORIGINAL LP ! Minneapolis , Minnesota!
Only 1000 pressed in 1968 , rarely offered for sale original. This copy came from the band's own guitarist, the legendary Tom "ZIPPY" Caplan.
The track numbers, zig-zag embellishments , and " Freedom recorders and Electronics 1971" ( beneath Bassist Jim Kane's entry) are written in blue ball point, presumably by Zippy back in the day. According to Zippy, Freedom Recorders was Jim's thing in the early 70's.I had Zippy sign this, you can see his signature in black ink under his portrait. There is a bit of ring wear on the front, some discoloration on the lower back. No splits though, nice , tight cover still looks beautiful after 43 years! Labels have spindle marks, a small gouge on A side label, and small ball point checks written next to track 2 & 5 on A side and each track name on B side label. Vinyl has many surface scratches on both sides and a cluster of rougher looking marks on a side ( see pics) Only one can be felt. The Playback is surprisingly good. The first two tracks have some more noticeable , but still in the background rotation noises. The remainder of the Lp plays better with mild surface noise. Not bacon and eggs, this plays nice and is still enjoyable to listen to. NOT a bad copy, just dont expect perfection. Strong VG+/VG-.
