Little Feat
'Dixie Chicken'
Warner Brothers, UK, 1973
K 46200
THIRD ALBUM from this esteemed outfit and once again they managed to deliver a spectacular record full of trade mark Featisms. Band leader and frontman Lowell George is in top form delivering his aching vocal atop some of the classiest and most accomplished seventies rock ever recorded. The great thing about Little Feat was their ability to blend a number of styles ranging from jazz to southern rock and come out sounding like the best band in the world. I guess the other major factor was the quality of the songs and here we have an example of some of George's best ever composition, including 'Roll Um Easy', 'Fat Man In The Bathtub' and their anthem 'Dixie Chicken'.
Really one of the best bands in the entire history of the world.
Pressing: Warner Brothers, UK, 1973
Vinyl: Beautiful clean and shiny condition. No spindle marks and no other signs of any use - I would say unplayed. Grades as a shop fresh MINT!
Cover: No signs of use. Issued in a beautifully designed (by Neon Park) cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, square and totally uncrushed. Impossible to find like this after 42 years. Looks like it just walked out of the factory yesterday. Grades as shop fresh MINT!
Inserts: None
