LITTLE FRANKIE I’M NOT GONNA DO IT scarce mod girl beat 45 COLUMBIA DB 7490 1965
On offer is a LITTLE FRANKIE 45rpm entitled THE KIND OF BOY YOU CAN’T FORGET / I’M NOT GONNA DO IT as released on COLUMBIA DB 7490 in 1965.
The A side – The kind of boy you can’t forget – is a Greenwich and Barry composition and is a typical mid-60s female teen- vocal 45. By contrast the B side – I’m not gonna do it - is far from typical! It’s a one-off! Little Frankie’s vocals are very energetic to say the least and [to me] are like female garage-punk vocals. The amazing backing instrumentation is provided by The Country Gentlemen [uncredited]. This track has been termed a ‘cool mod girl beat track’ and it’s well worth a listen on you-tube. It’s been anthologised on CD in ‘Girls in the Garage vol.7’ – but here’s the chance to own it on original 1965 vinyl...
The vinyl is in VG+ condition.
The record labels are nice and clean, with no writing on them.
The record sounded great when I test played it on my BOSE record player.
The record comes housed in its’ original COLUMBIA label company sleeve.

VERY GOOD (VG) THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER OR EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS, IS ACCEPTABLE.
