SYMBOL OF LOVE HERE IN MY ARMS
FIRST CLASS WEST COAST R&B, DOO-WOP FROM THE MYSTERIOUS LITTLE JULIAN HERRERA - VINTAGE 1957 - HIS VOCAL GROUP IS SOMETIMES CALLED THE "TIGERS"
THIS ARTIST WAS A MAJOR PLAYER IN THE LATINO R&B, ROCK & ROLL, DOO-WOP SCENE IN LOS ANGELES.
THE HEAVY IRONY OF THE SITUATION WAS THAT HE WAS A HUNGARIAN JEW, ON THE RUN FROM THE FBI. HE WAS HIDING "IN THE OPEN" AS IT WERE.
HE RECORDED FOR JOHNNY OTIS, WHO WAS APPARENTLY UNAWARE OF THESE COMPLICATIONS FOR SOME TIME.
HE IS A HIGHLY RESPECTED ARTIST AMONG MANY RECORD COLLECTORS. HE SINGS WITH AN INSTANTLY LIKABLE VOICE IN A UNIQUE PLEADING STYLE. "SYMBOL OF HEAVEN" IS AMONG HIS BEST SIDES.
This record has been in my personal collection for many years, and is now up for AUCTION.
CONDITION: VG+ NICE USED COPY. SOME MODERATE GROOVE WEAR, OTHERWISE CLEAN.
This record is absolutely original, not a repro or reissue.

Standard 45 RPM Grading:
M-   Mint Minus.   Highest grade used. Has full or nearly full luster. Little or no sign of play or handling. Highly desirable condition.
VG++   Very Good Plus Plus.   Most luster remains. Some indications of careful play. May have mild wear or a few very light scuffs or scratches.  Very desirable condition.
VG+   Very Good Plus.   Still some luster. Shows moderate wear, minor scuffs and/or scratches not felt by touch. Still a very nice "above average" used record, acceptable to most collectors.
VG    Very Good.    Obvious groove wear with mostly grey grooves. Has the scuffs and/or scratches of an "average" used record. Often plays better than it looks.
V-    Very Good Minus. Record shows heavy use, deeper grey, more scuffs and scratches. Plays with more surface noise but should play through.
G   Good. A beat record that could easily skip, looks bad and is noisy.
