Description
Here's a 1957 LITTLE RICHARD 'Here's Little Richard' LP SP-100.
This talented man had his own wild style (especially for the times) and on the piano instead of the guitar, similar to Jerry Lee Lewis. He came a couple of years after, but he was still among the greats and a pioneer that started rock n roll. He was right there with Chuck Berry, Elvis, Bill Haley, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bo Diddley and Johnny Burnette.
This cover is in really nice shape, as most of the time these have big splits, taped and or just beat up. This one has just 1" splits at the top and bottom mouth, pressure spot top middle edge (not split), one corner push, a little wear left bottom edge and a name written in red on the back. Still, this is 'light' wear comparatively and better than 95% of these out there. This album often has a name on it, as in 1957 having this album was a prized possession.
The record is pretty much average and it's all scuffed up, basically worn so it plays with a lot of crackling. No skips but might have a pop or 2. It is made of shellac, so it is very thick and inflexible, just like the original Elvis Sun records. Like the Elvis ones, you are buying this for it's musical historical value and extreme rarity.
Extremely difficult to find a better cover specimen!!
I pack very well using double box packing (with vinyl out of cover), describe items accurately and usually ship within 5 business days. Thank you for visiting ClaudeUSA
