During the 50's and early 60's, the UK London label released demo copies of their catalogue as single sided discs and it's increasingly hard to find an original pairing of both the 'A' and 'B' side together. Eventually released as catalogue # HLD 8770, we have on offer the following 1958 pairing from LITTLE RICHARD;
DISC 1: "BABY FACE" with Matrix # MSQ 2689 that remains in excellent plus condition and plays superbly throughout with just a minimal trace of light crackle on the lead-in and run-off groove and with the lightest of sleeve rubs. The label is clean with minimal spindle wear but with a small annotation in the form of the running time, showing very little ring wear and with a circular stain from a sticker removal. The catalogue number has been applied by way of a rubber stamp (see picture scan 1).
DISC 2: "I'LL NEVER LET YOU GO" with Matrix # MSQ 2688 that remains in excellent plus condition and plays superbly throughout with just a minimal trace of light crackle on the lead-in and run-off groove and the lightest of sleeve rubs. The label is extremely clean with very little spindle wear but with a small annotation in the form of the running time and showing virtually no ring wear. The catalogue number has been applied by way of a rubber stamp (see picture scan 2).
Paired with a new replica company sleeve.
