LITTLE RICHARD Here’s Little Richard hails from 2024 and is a SEALED VMP Exclusive 180 gram LP set pressed on Slipin’ and Slidin’ Vinyl.
This debut album from Little Richard, re-mastered and re-issued on vinyl, was the highest charting album of his career and contains two of his biggest hits "Long Tall Sally" and "Jenny Jenny". Ranked #50 on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, this is an essential album for any serious rock 'n' roll collection.
Little Richard made a test record of one of his own songs on a home recorder and sent it to Specialty Records in Hollywood. In spite of the scratchy rendition, Specialty Records recognized the obvious hit appeal of "Tutti-Frutti" and Little Richard was flown to Hollywood to record.
In a matter of weeks, Little Richard's "Tutti-Frutti" was acclaimed a hit! Then followed "Long Tall Sally," "Slippin' And Slidin'," "Rip It Up," "Ready Teddy," "All Around the World," and "The Girl Can't Help It." Not only one side, but both sides of every Little Richard record made the hit charts!
