Here's his classic second album..The sleeve is a bit distressed but the disc looks great and plays superb!..
The matrix numbers are 1B...It's a first pressing...It also has a flipback sleeve..Only first pressings had such a sleeve.
The mothers and stampers are:..1H and 1N..
Issued on London in 1959.. 1959..HA U 2126..UK pressing in a front laminated sleeve with curved top and bottom flipbacks...It sill has it's original poly lined inner sleeve.
Play grade...EX..This is a really clean playing disc..I noted ONE pop on the first side at the end of the 3rd track,but no other audio defects or damage..It really does play clean!!..
Have a listen to the sound clip..
No music software has been used to alter the sound quality..What you hear is how good it plays!...(I would'nt know how to use such software anyway!).
Visual grade:..To the naked eye,the disc looks EX..It's clean and undamaged with no scratches or scuffs..
Strong light reveals only a few lightpaper scuffs and light hairlines..Nothing serious or likely to affect play...The disc still has a reasonable sheen as well.
The disc plays flat on the deck with no edge warps..
The labels:...Clean and undamaged,even the silver text is untarnished....There is a little spindle wear but it's not excessive..
The sleeve..Like nearly all late 50's albums,it's made of light weight card and therefore easily prone to wear and damage..
This has some wear,but it's not too bad..Here are the defects..
There is rubbing to all the edges.
There is a scuff throughthe colour on the front (On his quiff).
The opening edge is worn and has some light tears..
The corners are rounded...
The back has light dischape..
There is ageing to the non laminated back..
Having said that,there are no rips,tears,stains,scribble or seamsplits..
The original inner sleeve has light dischape but is otherwise clean with no seam splits..
UK buyers are welcome to collect this in person or collect it from The Southend Record Fair (9th February,9th March) and then the second Sunday in each month)..Where there are LOADS of great albums and singles offered for sale...
Venue for this fair is West Leigh Schools on the A13..SS9 2JB...Record collections always wanted!.
