"LITTLE" STEVIE WONDER: Workout Stevie, Workout / Monkey Talk (´63 / very rare orig. German issue / CBS 1295 / orange label / general info: until 1965 CBS overtook the distribution of all Tamla-Motown recordings in Germany - in a way CBS had the same role as the Oriole and Stateside labels had in the U.K. - in both countries Tamla-Motown didn´t start to operate their own label until 1965, so all earlier records had to be licensed to these other labels / by the way: this is one of the first picture sleeves, which came out in Germany with the photo of a black artist on the frontside (on earlier picture sleeves prior to 1963 black artists either weren´t shown at all or in some other cases they were "relegated" to the back sleeve - for reference please take a look at another one of my auctions, which shows a picture sleeve from the same era, The Contours´ 45 "Do You Love Me" (CBS 1291)

DESCRIPTION:
tiny seam split at the bottom (just beginning, less than 1 cm length) / there are two writings on the front p/s (a name at the top and "lines" on the left side) / light (to very light) ringwear on the backside, only minimal trace of a ringwear on the frontside / the corners and the top of the p/s are slightly bent, and there are 3 small tears into the top opening of the frontside (5 mm, 3 mm and 1 mm length) and two small tears into the top opening of the backside (4 mm and 1 mm length) / the vinyl is in really amazing condition regarding the record´s age: there are just a few light hairlines on the surface, but the record has absolutely no scratches! / the labels are cleanWHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
