LITTLE WHEELS Four wheeled ball bearing surfing board/The bumper 45 (Aussie) Dot ZK-840 PROMO (stamp) (1967 - uptempo Beach Boys influenced surf sound. Early skateboard record, Jan & Dean style. Both sides written by Ray Hildebrand of Paul & Paula and at least one source says this IS Paul & Paula ( it does have girlie background vocals that may or may not be Jill Jackson...) Dot picked this up from Major Bill Smith in Fort Worth, Texas. (Was it also released on one of his labels?). The other composer here is Sonley Roush who produced J.Frank Wilson's "Last Kiss" hit. Roush was killed in a car crash in which Wilson was injured. This Aussie release was late '64 or early '65.) GRADE: disc around EX- on the A side and flip is up around EX+ under strong light. Barely played but had a DJ Immmediate release paper insert in next to the disc over the years which has caused some sleeve scuffs. Labels near mint. Comes in an original sleeve which has a little wear but is ok.
