Some of the greatest blues performances got released on this great lable, going back in the 1950s.
A very rare lp release here, this gem dates way back to 1956, a superb blues vocal album.
The title track was well known as covered by Peggy Lee, and of course Elvis Presley.
As obscure as it was in sixties Britain, the song 'Need Your Love So Bad' was brilliantly covered by Peter Green with Fleetwood Mac.
Green perhaps heard it when playing guitar in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, or maybe from Blue Horizon Records main man Mike Vernon, but it's a very special tune that Green gave a beautiful rendition of - truly outstanding!
This disc plays and sounds decent, a deep groove with a little light crackle.
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades VG+,
A feelable mark on the opening track, some light general scuff.
Labels are VG++
The Single Card Cover grades VG-
The faces are mostly clean, there has been water damage to the lower area, that has been repaired, and the beginning of seam splitting near the opening - hence the grade.
Not a 'top copy' but certainly a respectable example, and not easy to find!
