Adalto "Adá" on bass, Tikinho on guitar and vocals and Zú on drums, began playing in 1979, influenced mainly by Sex Pistols, Ramones, The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, UK Subs, Dead Boys, Sham 69 and Lurkers.

After some presentations, Alê takes the vocals. In 1980, with a few rehearsals and only three songs in the repertoire, Lixomania made its first appearance at an unprecedented gathering of punk bands, held behind closed doors in Santo Amaro, in the south of São Paulo. On that same day they presented themselves Inocentes, Mack, Anarkólatras, Colera and Dry Eye.

During 1980 and 1981, Lixomania performed several shows in the outskirts of São Paulo and quickly gained prestige among the punks of São Paulo.

In 1981, Alê left the band and Moreno took over the vocals, as well as drummer Zú, replaced by Miro (former Guerrilla Urbana). With this formation, the Lixomania recorded the triple EP Violence and Survival, released in September of 1982, financed by Carlos Marçal Bueno, friend and supporter of the band. The EP contains six tracks: "Violence and Survival," "Innocent Massacre," "Punk Rock Has Not Died," "Nobody," "Fugitive," and "Punks Also Love." It was the first individual album of a punk band in Brazil, released a few months after the pioneering Suburban Scream.

After the release of the EP, Lixomania played in some cities in the interior of São Paulo and participated in the legendary festival The Beginning of the End of the World at Sesc Pompéia in São Paulo. At that time, vocalist Moreno had left to play bass in Psykóze, and was replaced by Alê, who returned to the band.

Shortly thereafter, Lixomania was the first São Paulo punk band to play outside the state. One of the presentations was at the Circo Voador in Rio de Janeiro, which had at the opening Paralamas do Sucesso and Kid Abelha & the Wild Pumpkins. Also played in a show in the stadium of Juiz de Fora, attended by thousands of people.

After the presentations in Rio de Janeiro, they were invited to a meeting with the director of RCA in Brazil, who proposed to release an LP of the band. The contract provided that the label could add keyboards and saxophone in some songs, which made the band refuse the proposal.

One of the last presentations of the Lixomania of that time, in the program Fábrica do Som, of TV Cultura, ended in a pounding between rival gangs. Thus, in March 1983, the Lixomania decided to close its activities.

After the end of the band, Miro formed the 365, with a sound more oriented to pop rock.

In October of 2002, the group returned to the activity with its classic formation (Moreno, Tikinho, Adá and Miro) as guest of the festival The End of the World, held in Tendal da Lapa, west area of ??São Paulo, , more than 60 bands from all over Brazil. From these presentations, and the encouragement of the fans, the Lixomania rehearsed regularly and in 2003 made a show at Hangar 110.

In 2004, the band returned to the studio to re-record three songs: "OMR (Hate, Fear and Revolt)", "I Want to Be Free" and "PPP (Stop to Think)."

In 2005, they recorded another 15 songs and released the No, Obrigado! Album, which includes 12 unpublished songs plus the re-recording of the first EP.

In July of 2016, they performed at the Free Studio Show in São Paulo.
