(Australian buyers can pay in Australian dollars of course....if need be, just go to www.xe.com for conversions...)

...and moving on...the item on offer here is:

ARTIST:      LOBBY LOYDE (and SOUTHERN ELECTRIC) -
TITLE:          "LIVE WITH DUBS" .
FORMAT:     …vinyl LP…
LABEL:         Mushroom  .
CAT. #:          L-37399   .
DATE OF RELEASE:   October 1980 .
PRESSED IN:    Australia .
ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?  Yes .

Lobby's last solo album is this monster heavy progressive hard rock LP that sounds like it was recorded in about 1971/72...it does NOT sound like a 1980 release at all...any fan of his "Plays With George Guitar" and "Obsecration" LPs and his guitar work on those couple of live Aztecs LPs from the early 70's will absolutely LOVE this album....it simply doesn't let up from go to whoa. Mandu's vocals are perfect for it (Rose Tattoo's Angry Anderson sings on one killer track too ["GYPSY IN MY SOUL"] ), and legendary Aztecs drummer Gil Matthews had proven many times before how well he works within the 3-piece format.... Lobby's guitar playing is scorching, seering, brain-splittingly brilliant...for instance, his solo-ing on the lengthy (clocks in at 13:03) "WEEKEND PARADISE (PART 2)" lasts virtually the entire length of the song..."GYPSY..." is another killer vehicle for his power-chord-ing and solo-ing

Tracks are:

SIDE ONE: CRAZY AS A LOON / WEEKEND PARADIES (PART 2) / MEDIA RE-MAKE

SIDE TWO: SYMPATHY IN "D" / GYPSY IN MY SOUL / FLYING SCIOTSMAN...all are originals

CONDITION:

COVER: (VG++)...has very mild stain in top right corner, and some crinkling there too, and a couple of very tiny tears at the top of the opening edge...back cover has corresponding stain in top left corner, and there's a small seam split at the top too...has inner sleeve with pix and lyrics... VINYL: (VG++)...this is a visual grading...the vinyl has several light scuffs, but it plays very very well indeed (about EX at least!)
LABELS: (Side one: MINT / Side Two: MINT)...has a couple of minor spindle marks on Side Two only....promo sticker on Side One...

If you have any concerns about the accuracy of my gradings, please check my feedback for the odd nice comment from some satisfied folk out there.... (and hopefully you may be able to join their ranks).

You can pay in US$'s or UK pounds or Australian dollars.

CLICK ON view sellers other auctions ABOVE FOR SIMILAR ITEMS - I list lots of punk / garage'n'psych (60s –> 90s) / power pop / guitar pop / soul & R'n'B / some occasional original 50's rock'n'roll & rockabilly plus industrial/experimental rarities from down this way - vinyl mostly, and posters, some CDs - (admittedly you’ll find all sorts of other guff too)...

Thanks for considering this item. Best of luck if you decide to bid...Cheers, Jules.

PAYMENT

OUTSIDE AUSTRALIA:
You can pay by: 1. Money Order (you'll need to add a US$4 exchange fee for a Western Union m/o or a US Postal m/o ; or a US$8 exchange fee for any other non-Australian dollar money order)
.. .. ..or.. .. ..
2. CASH (MUST be in a registered envelope..ONLY)
.. .. ..or.. .. ..
3. via Bidpay (aka Western Union Auction Payments) (you need to add a US$4 exchange fee for payments via WUAP/Bidpay)
.. .. ..OR.. .. ..
4. Paypal..easiest and cheapest way is to just use your normal account and select to pay in AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS, in which case there are no extra fees...BUT...if you wamt to pay in UK pounds (GBP) or U.S. dollars (US$)..you should know that Paypal unfortunately (for us all), charge we here in Australia, a hidden exchange rate fee which equates to 7% (.. ..it WAS originally 14%, then 11% until early Dec.2002); so it's not as bad as it was, but still a tad cheeky and unfair (this is NOT to be confused with their normal fees, which I will, of course, pay for); but, all the same, IF you’re prepared to cover that 7% exchange fee, you CAN use Paypal (it still works out cheaper [and obviously faster] than Bidpay or registering cash, for any amount below about US$100 / GBP55 )..its up to you, but PLEASE don’t think I condone their business practices; the other options are there for you to use. [My alternative, otherwise, is to allow them to take that much from every item..and they do not disclose that this is what they do. If you don’t agree with covering for this (and why should you!), please do consider another option.] IN AUSTRALIA:
Pay by Paypal (in Australian dollars...with NO fees to be added), Money Order, Bank Cheque, Personal Cheque (allow 5 days for clearance)...or Direct Deposit into our account (quickest method, along with Paypal).. .. ..or cash (again, MUST be in a registered envelope).
PACKING:
Don’t worry - we pack anything you buy VERY CAREFULLY to make sure it arrives in EXACTLY the condition it left here. More specifically, in the way we'd like to receive parcels ourselves.
WE MAIL OUT FROM AUSTRALIA VIRTUALLY EVERY DAY.
