Description
- A stereo, 33 1/3 rpm, vinyl LP, "HLola Versus Powerman And The Moneygoround, Part 1" by The Kinks
- Released in 1970 on Pye Records
- This was The Kinks eighth studio album. A concept album making comment on various aspects of the music industry. It marked the band's transition to a 5-piece.
- Recorded at Morgan Studios, in London,in April and May, and then August and September, 1970. it was released in late November of the same year.
- The album contained two hit singles, in 'Lola' and 'Apeman'. (PS 'Part Two' was never recorded)
- Produced by 'Raymond Douglas Davies' and engineered by Mike Bobak (credited on the inside cover)
- All songs are written by Ray Davies, apart from 'Strangers' and 'Rats', both written by Dave Davies (credited on the label as Raymond Douglas Davies and D.R.G Davies respectively)
- Personnel:-
- Ray Davies – lead vocals; acoustic, electric and resonator guitars; harmonica (The Contenders)
- Dave Davies – backing vocals; electric and acoustic guitars; lead vocals ("Strangers" and "Rats")

- The introduction to 'Top Of The Pops' is spoken by David Symons (sic), as credited on the inside cover.

- The back cover has a full track listing, split between the two corners of the central image.

- Condition
- The vinyl is G+ with no noticeable scratches or marks. Plays well with just some slight surface noise and the occasional faint pop.
- The sleeve is G+, some marks and faint edge wear. There are a couple of patches where the surface has lifted, possibly where labels have been removed (see photos)
- The inner sleeve is intact and undamaged but does have some faint marks
