On offer is an ORIGINAL UK DEMO COPY from 1972 of the single
WARM WOMAN b/w MORE THAN WORDS
by LON & DERREK VAN EATON on
APPLE, catalogue no. APPLE 46
Brothers from Trenton, New Jersey, Lon and Derrek Van Eaton scored a contract with The Beatles’ label, Apple, which resulted in the album, Brother, from which these two sides were extracted. The flip is produced by Beatles’ friend and erstwhile Plastic Ono Bandman KLAUS VOORMANN.
The record comes from a university radio station and I would grade it as EXCELLENT, although it has some dust and could use a clean. The radio station source means that the cover has been stamped and there is some minor sticker damage where stickers have been removed (see pictures). A stamp and the letters “V12” written in felt tip appear on both sides of the label. On the plus side, the radio station is the reason why this is a pre-release demo, not for sale to the public, as the print on the label says (see pictures).
Oh, and there's pronounced ringwear too.
In short, the sleeve grades as VERY GOOD PLUS, and the vinyl as EXCELLENT, according to Record Collector.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
