RICHARD WAGNER: DIE WALKURE
HANS KNAPPERTSBUSCH
THE VIENNA PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
2 LP BOXED SET LONDON BLUEBACKL@@K!
This auction is for a 2 Record Set of Wagner's Die Walkure produced by London/Decca. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is being conducted by Hans Knappertsbusch. It features Kristen Flagstad, Set Svanholm and Arnold Van Mill. The front of the box states Act One Complete which is on three sides. The fourth side contains Gotterdammerung with the same conductor and orchestra. The catalog number is OSA 1204 and the Stamper numbers are 1E, 1K, 4K & 5E. Both the records are marked "Made in England" but I don't see a date. The set comes complete with the original booklet, the original plastic lined sleeves which have the British Patent No. 800513 on them and a London Opera Catalog. As I hope you can see from the pictures in is in Great condition with a very minimum of visible wear. The Records are in Mint Condition with no sign of scratches and they play beautifully.
