I’ve recently acquired a number of extremely rare vintage test pressings spanning jazz (Tubby Hayes, Ronnie Scott, Alan Skidmore), soul (Aretha Franklin), pop (Phil Spector) and more. I’m selling them all now, so please check my other items.

(Decca test pressing) 1960
Up for auction here are two single-sided UK Decca white label test pressing discs of this classic British Jazz LP, which was commercially released on the legendary Tempo label (as TAP 28).
Each disc contains one complete side of the finished LP, with the other side playing a continuous reference tone.
The personnel is Tubby Hayes (tenor and alto sax, flute, vibes), Alan Branscombe (alto and tenor sax, piano, vibes), Jack Fallon (bass), Tony Crombie (piano, drums).
Both discs are in clean VG+ to EX condition, and come in their original ‘factory sample’ inner sleeves.
Needless to say, you will probably never have another chance to acquire this.
