This is an original 1960 Trinidad press En Cee / Cook Carribean label LP titled 'The Story Of Carnival In Trinidad', featuring six Trinidad calypso tracks each from Lord Brynner and Choy Aming And HIs Orchestra. It is En Cee / Cook Carribean Records catalog number N.C. 367. See the accompanying images for more information, please e-mail me if you need matrix numbers. This LP was originally purchased from Camerons Record Shop in Port-O-Spain, Trinidad, as shown by the rubber stamp which appears on the back cover. No personnel are listed on the back cover or on the record labels. The Choy Aming tracks on this LP Tracks are "Specially tailored for the new dance craze 'Saga-Ting'": LORD BRYNNER: The Statue Of Liberty, Girls From A To Z, Watchekong Girl, Gun Fever, Game Cock, Rich Man Poor Man; CHOY AMING & HIS ORCHESTRA: THE BEST ROAD MARCHES OF YEARS GONE BY - Jour Ouvert, After Johnny, Fire Brigade Water The Road, Ambascailla (Ambaskalla), Joe Louis, Kaiser Wilhelm. Visual condition of record is a mid VG+ with some light surface marks, none of which can be felt or will affect play. Record plays though nicely with a little surface noise. Print on the labels is very faded and barely legible, it may have been manufactured this way originally. Condition of cover is a high VG/low VG+ with some scattered splits along the top edge and the spine, some slight wrinkles, some fraying along the edges of the back cover slick, some general age discoloration, a little writing in blue ballpoint on the back cover, some general contact wear, and some general wear along the edges and on the corners - These flaws can be seen in the accompanying images. A choice vintage addition to any calypso or Carribean music record collection!
