Select (Ducretet-Thomson) S-398.127, 1968 original issue, 1st pressing Canada stereo
(hand-etched run-off matrix #'s: CSC-745 and CSC-746)
Recorded by Ducretet-Thomson in studios in France & England, initially released in France and in French Canada in 1968 as "Psychedeliquement Votre" (English: "Psychedelically Yours"), the album was released a couple of months later (using various titles) in the UK (Columbia), US (Capitol), Germany (Telefunken) and Venezuela (Parlophone).
While original European and US pressings do still turn up, the Venezuelan and Canadian versions are rare and particularly hard-to-find today.
UK session guitarist extraordinaire Lord Sitar (Big Jim Sullivan), handles the sitar and all arrangements on some mid-blowing covers including Beatles, Stones, and The Who classics, spicing them up with trippy psychedelic grooves and monster eastern vibes ......complete with tabla Hammond, fuzz, funky drums, flute and horns.
