LORDS OF THE NEW CHURCH - RARE Vinyl - MINT - IRS Records 1982 - Stiv Bators.
The Lords of the New Church were an English/American gothic rock supergroup with a line-up consisting of four musicians from 1970s punk bands. The band originally comprised vocalist Stiv Bators (ex-the Dead Boys), guitarist Brian James (ex-the Damned), bassist Dave Tregunna (ex-Sham 69) and drummer Nick Turner (ex-the Barracudas)
The Lords of the New Church is the debut studio album by the English/American rock band The Lords of the New Church. It was released in 1982 by Illegal Records in the UK and by I.R.S. Records in the US.Musically, the album is a mix of punk, glam, garage rock and goth, described by New Noise Magazine as a "seedy concoction of spidery guitars, sleazy bass lines, jungle drums and gothic keyboards."
Cover seams showing signs of age (this has been in personal collection for almost 40 years), but the original sleeve is near mint condition. The album is perfect, and for all intents and purposes, it is brand new.
This is a great price for a rare piece of 1980s music history.
