Description
After Los Abuelos de la Nada's impressive self-titled debut in 1982, in December 1983 the band released their second album, "Vasos y Besos" the album that would definitively establish them in history. The sextet, led by Miguel Abuelo, recorded the new album at Panda Studios in Madrid, with Daniel Grinbank as record producer and the band in charge of artistic production. "Vasos y Besos" was the result of a rock and pop band at its creative peak, with inspired composers and performers. The album kicks off with the hit "No se desesperen" and never lets up until the very last song. Along the way, highlights include "Así es el calor" a timeless hit by Calamaro; "Sintonía Americana"; "Cucarachón de tribunal" a tongue-in-cheek song dedicated to rock lawyer Joe Stefanuolo; "Vamos al ruedo"; "Mil horas" another one for the ages by Calamaro; "Chalaman" a smash hit, this time in an irresistible reggae format. "Vasos y Besos" arrives in a carefully crafted audio and aesthetic edition, respecting the original album artwork. An eighties gem that transcends its time as one of the best albums in the history of Argentine music.
