You are now bidding on an ultra rare «Los Extraditables» vinyl single. Made in Colombia by an unknown label in the late 1980's and early 1990's decade, during in the high wave of the «Los Extraditables» Drug Lords War. This record is considered one of the most sought after document of that infamous era.

Here's some history:

Saúl Castro Zuluaga, mostly known as «El Poeta de los Extraditables» (The Extraditables Poet) or «Tonelada», was a personal friend of Pablo Escobar since they were kids, long before the Drug Lord times. He is a poet from the Magdalena Medio region. He suffered the tragic loss of his son, which was kidnapped and later assassinated by the guerrillas. Then he became a strong guerrilla (and the government) critic by writing poems. He would later  became a songwriter. Castro assembled anonymously, in a clandestine way, a Cumbia orchestra which he branded as «Orquesta Clamores Nacionales». He produced between 100 to 500 units of this particular record, financed by the Narcos Cartel. 

There's no musicians, songwriter, record label, year or any other information than the stamped on the vinyl and the sleeve. No one wanted to offend the Lords but nobody would like to be credited as narcos supporters or crew. So, this record saw the light by being hand-to-hand distributed in a sort of clandestine way. 

The cover has a «Los Extraditables» title with pictures of the two most wanted narcos of that time: Pablo Escobar and Gonzalo Rodriguez Gacha, along with the «Orquesta Clamores Nacionales» credit. On the back cover, the same titles are accompanied by a strong image of chained hands and the Extraditables infamous motto «Preferimos una tumba en el país a una cárcel en el extranjero» (on the record label «Preferimos una tumba en Colombia y no una cárcel en el extranjero»), which translates «We prefer a grave in Colombia to a prison abroad». The two cumbia songs «Los Extraditables» and «Dialogando» mark strong statements with hard lyrics towards the government and the guerrillas.

This is one of a kind piece that rarely shows up for sale. It is considered a document of that bitter age of Colombian history.

About this piece:

This single vinyl record is in fair to rough condition, since it was stored (always hidden) poorly. It was produced with a low quality paper sleeve and label. It has dust, time and storage signs such as stains, folds, pen marks cracks and missing bits. The record has a crack on the outer edge and several scratches. It has not been tested. It is sold as is. 

Really beautiful, original and vintage piece, ideal for a narcos rarities collector. It might have marks of the time that has passed, some stains, discoloration, ink marks or other signs of its age are considered normal.
