a fair amount of surface marks, but the album plays through completely with a good fidelity. These heavy deep-groove pressings I find still play quite well despite some marks. Sonically, playback is a solid VG+ with no distortion but subdued surface crackle. Original 1st pressing, "47 WEST 63rd NYC", deep groove, ear etched in wax and the RVG stamp.

Heavy cardboard with laminate, no writing front or back, solid seams, small and inconspicuous tear along the open edge. Very solid. Minor flaking along open edge
This album is a hard-driving bop date with Lou and the 3 putting fire and vinegar into their performances. Lou proves himself a studied disciple of Bird with his own style and passion to spare.
