LOU DONALDSON: "LOU TAKES OFF" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, #1591.   Extremely rare vintage jazz Lp!  Original MONO 1st pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the 47 WEST 63rd NYC address on both labels.  The label is DEEP GROOVE on both sides.  "EAR" etched and RVG stamped in the trail-off on both sides.  Thick vinyl, thick laminated cardboard cover.  The personnel:  Donald Byrd/trumpet; Curtis Fuller/trombone; Lou Donaldson/alto sax; Sonny Clark/piano; George Joyner/bass; Art Taylor/drums.  The vinyl is in phenomenal M- condition, very high gloss!  The thick laminated cover is in superb shape, bright & clean, displays wonderfully!  No cut-out marks, no writing, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking.  Address on back cover is 47 West 63rd St., New York 23.  The songs are:  Sputnik; Dewey Square; Strollin' In; Groovin' High.  Easily the best example of this monster rarity I've ever offered for sale.
