This is 1960, first edition, “RVG” stamped, Laminated Cover, Deep Groove, “P” pressing of LOU DONALDSON’s “The Time Is Right” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 4025. Musicians include Lou Donaldson, Horace Parlan, Blue Mitchell, Laymon Jackson, Dave Bailey, Ray Barretto.

VINYL plays with consistent light surface noise (i.e, crackle, static, ?? or ????, relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with pops and ticks. Noise most noticeable on ballad end Side 1. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. No skips. Good gloss. Handful of hairline marks, none feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels are clean, spindle wear. See photos.

LAMINATED COVER is in very good shape. 2” tape at lower right front and back; cover chipped. Some peeling, Corners worn. Seams and spine in very good shape, small splits at opening. BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket shows wear. Please see photos.

   

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
