Description
Up for auction here is "The Natural Soul" by Loud Donaldson on the Blue Note label, catalog #BST 84108. The LP (with VAN GELDER stamped in dead wax) is VG...kinda scuffy with several light (but very noticeable) marks, but very superficial. I played the whole thing while I was doing some listings and it sounds great. Honestly, I don't know why they bother pressing new Blue Note LPs.....the new ones sound like garbage (unless you're buying the the $50 ones). These old ones ALWAYS Sound great. I'd rather hear a bit of surface noise here and there than listen to the thin, harsh digital LPs they're cranking out now. Someone just strap Don Was into a chair and play him an old pressing and then make him try to sit through one of those 75th anniversary travesties. The cover has a bit of edge/seam wear and very little ringwear......displays well. Please view my other auctions for more great jazz LPs.
Shipping is $4 in the US (or $8 for Priority Mail), $14 to Canada and $24 to the rest of the world. Additional LPs are $1 each in the US, $3 to Canada and $6 each to the rest of the world. I pack records outside of the covers to protect the seams from splitting. They are shipped in dedicated record mailers with padded inserts. I spend a lot of time and money on shipping with care so your record looks as good when it arrives as it did when it left.
