Description
In the late seventies and early ‘80s, King Records in Japan issued a series of albums of previously unissued Blue Note sessions in covers that copied the original Blue Note design style.
This album GXK-8164 is in mint condition (never played) and the jacket is flawless. It is on the traditional blue and white Blue Note label.
It was the first release of a 1967 Lou Donaldson session that did not come out at the time although it was given a title and catalog number. It later came out in the US under that title LUSH LIFE. Duke Pearson arranged an octet that included Wayne Shorter, Freddie Hubbard and McCoy Tyner on seven soulful standards.
