NOTE:   ....Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong became a pop icon in 1964 when his version of HELLO DOLLY went straight to #1 beating out the Beatles who had been there for 3 weeks straight........

....Also to be noted that Louis Armstrong is the oldest musician to have reached #1 on the Billboard charts & his hit song won a Grammy Award in 1965 for Song of the Year.....
