LOUIS JORDAN AND HIS TYMPANY FIVE
DECCA ALBUM NO. A - 459
MADE IN USA, 1946.
INSERT/BOOKLET/LEAFLET PRESENT.
I bought this around 15 years ago, imported from the USA, and played it just a couple of times only upon receipt.
The album itself is in a very good clean strong condition. A few small light stains to the front. Some wear to the corners. There is one 5mm x 5mm area of surface peel to the top right only. The spine is in super condition, minimal wear and 100% legible. Internally excellent, all 4 leafs are fully attached to the spine, still 100% solid with just a couple of small spots, and a 5mm tear to one opening edge. The rear of the album is also in excellent condition. No writing or unsightly marks. Overall this is still in a really strong VG, arguably VG+ condition.
The often missing leaflet is in a VG to VG+ condition also. No rips or tears, no writing or unsightly marks. A touch of light creasing in couple of places, along with some age spots. Lovely artwork, lovely condition.
The 78's themselves played great, I do not recall any issues, just enjoyment :-) They are all in a similar condition, a few scuffs here and there, in and outs, the odd surface mark, but all still shiny with little wear, certainly no greying or deep scratches. The spindle holes are true and solid. Overall I would say these are E- by VJM standards.
The album will be VERY well packed, double boxed etc, and posted via courier.
