Description
Selling off the remainder of my vinyl (as only a cheap new player belonging to my daughter to play them on now to test) - kept in storage for many years, not played in a long time - check the rest of the auctions to see what's left - apologies for the variable quality of the pictures, I can promise that generally the quality of the records is better than my ability to take a photo with a cheap smartphone!
I used to love, LOVE, Love and Money - when I worked at HMV at the end of the 1980's my Manager used to call them one of a bunch of "dodgy Scottish rock bands" but I thought different, for me it was all about the quality of the songwriting, and James Grant was a great, great songwriter - I saw them at last 6 or 7 times in Yorkshire and Lancashire between about 86 and 89, sometimes twice on the same tour - they were great live too. Anyway, this auction is for 8 12" singles, all with otherwise unavailable tracks on them, so if you have recently discovered JG or L&M or just got a record player (again!) then this is a really good chance to buy a whole job lot. The singles are Love and Money (double pack), and Dear John from the first album, then Halleluiah Man, and Jocelyn Square, plus My Love Lives in a Dead House, Winter and the Wishing Waters ep (with Looking for Angeline). Every one a classic!
Please read the following information carefully, I use the "UK record collector" rating system for cds / records, the condition of each element is lovingly and honestly described below - however, record listings and descriptions are notoriously subjective, I've done my best and you can hopefully see from my feedback that I am honest and reliable. These albums are all "used" - if you want new items you need to go to a shop where the items are "new" :)
- discs - all the discs have some signs of wear but are generally in very good+ or better condition, all play perfectly
- sleeves - again, these have some light signs of wear but are generally in very good+ or excellent condition
Purchasing multiple items is a good way of keeping postage prices lower, please ask for a quote, I will always keep postage prices as low as possible (12" singles and LP's are expensive to post abroad because 12" x 12" = parcel, not large letter), and I ship anywhere in the world - Feel free to check out my feedback.
