VINYL is VG+
Clean Glossy Vinyl with some faint surface hairlines, viewed under hard bright light; nothing even near feelable. Audio is full, bright and bold with occasional soft surface noise underneath; mostly at very beginning of side and between tracks with some heard in a few very quiet moments in the music - no pops or loud tics heard. Labels are very nice; clean and velvety with no spindle trails.

COVER is VG (Near VG+)
Solid, generally clean with some light surface wear, noticeable mostly in black border; Front shows some corner and edge creases. Back is overall bright and clean with some soft edge creases and a few very small faint tan spots in white background. One bumped, but still sharp, l.r. corner tip; other corners are all fine. No splits.

Forever Changes notwithstanding, DA CAPO is LOVE’s crowning achievement.  
…a near perfect album that finds both Arthur Lee and Bryan Maclean at the absolute top of their game. Tougher and more luminous than the more heralded, amazing follow-up, Forever Changes, LOVE were the ultimate Gods of The Sunset Strip at this point - and this album clearly shows why.

From the all-out explosiveness of “Stephanie Knows Who” to the blistering “7 and 7 is”, to the pure Folk-Psych perfection and exhilarating beauty of “She Comes in Colors” and “¡Que Vida!”, and of course, the surreal psychedelic imagery of Bryan Maclean’s “Orange Skies” - LOVE deliver unforgettable classic after classic - and that’s just Side 1.

Flipping DA CAPO over finds the side-long epic “Revelation”. Side 1 is just so perfect and electrifying that I don’t get around to this glorious Side 2 often enough, but there are still those times when it is exactly what I want to, what I need to hear.

All in all, DA CAPO has remained my favorite LOVE album from 1966 until today.
 I don’t expect that to change.

who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s.
Sadly he has now finally left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.
