Here is a superb original 1-G - 1-G earliest uk first pressing of 'False Start'. The thick vinyl looks just about perfect, there are no surface marks or scratches, this rare album has been very well looked after and has obviously been barely played at all. The early harvest labels have the 'Gramophone Co' rim text and there are no boxed EMI logos and both are in excellent clean condition. The E.J.Day matt gatefold sleeve is lightly textured on the front & back, this sleeve has some wear but is still in nice condition. The original harvest inner sleeve is in excellent condition.

THICK FIRST PRESS VINYL = NM

The thick stereo vinyl is in really amazing ultra-clean condition and still looks just about perfect, both sides still have their original unblemished deep glossy sheen, there are no bad surface marks, scuffs or scratches at all, there are only a few ultra-light sleeve withdrawal traces that are visible in much stronger light. All tracks play with a brilliant clean and clear sound quality from beginning to end, i listened to the album right through before listing and there were no loud clicks, pops or annoying loud crackle, i heard just a couple of very light background tics during the entire playback. This beautiful original earliest copy of 'Love's - False Start' has only ever had a couple of very careful plays on a decent turntable and so it will never need upgrading. You will not find this vinyl in better condition than this. It's a definite keeper copy that will not disappoint in any way...GUARANTEED!!!!

LABEL CONDITION = NM

The early harvest labels have the 'Gramophone Co' rim text and there are no boxed EMI logos, both labels are in excellent very clean condition with just a few light spindle traces.

E.J.DAY GATEFOLD SLEEVE = VG

The E.J.Day matt gatefold sleeve is lightly textured on the front and back, the texture is the same style and pattern that was used for 'Pink Floyd's Meddle' album which was released on the harvest label around the same time. This cover has some consistent edge wear, especially along the bottom edges, the back bottom edge has storage wear all the way along and there is a small area at the opening edge that has worn right through, the front bottom edge has wear around half way along, the spine and top edges only have a few small areas of wear and the lightly textured front and back panels only have some very light areas of storage wear, the inside gatefold is in excellent condition. This is just one of those matt gatefolds that is very difficult to find in top condition, being non laminated and mostly black it will show up every little bit of wear, it's still a nice example though and the description makes it sound a lot worse than it actually is.

HARVEST ADVERTISING INNER = EX

The original poly-lined harvest inner sleeve is in excellent condition but like most the polythene lining has come lose but the vinyl still slips in and out just fine.

I pack my records very well, the album will be removed from the outer cover to avoid seem/edge splits in transit, plenty of rigid cardboard support will be used to avoid corners bending, this album will reach you in the same condition as advertised.
