ULTRA RARE ORIGINAL 1958 MONO BLUE NOTE RELEASE, BUT CONDITION OF LP I WILL VISUALLY GRADE AS FAIR ONLY, SO BEING OFFERED HERE FOR COLLECTOR VALUE. PLAYABILITY IS QUESTIONED.
The features noted on discogs present here are:
No ® on either side A or side B below "E" in "NOTE". Deep groove on both sides Address on label on both sides given as “BLUE NOTE RECORDS • 47 WEST 63rd • NYC" First catalog number on cover, second on labels. Plastylite "P" stamped both sides runout.
The matrices are:
Matrix / Runout (Side A runout): BN-4005-A RVG P Matrix / Runout (Side B runout): BN-4005-B RVG P
NOTE: P is the Plastylite symbol, RVG is stamped, others etched. Also, these matrices are not the same as in the nearest discogs I found online. There, the matrices are B -4005 A and B -4005 B (with RVG and P)
Glossy jacket with split on bottom edge about 4" from opening, no other splits but splits threatening near upper left corner, crease on jacket upper left corner, corners otherwise worn, light to moderate edge wear, a few soil marks back jacket, faint ring back jacket. The LP was stored in a borrowed vintage Capitol inner sleeve. As noted, the surface with a sheen of light unfeelable scratches, I'll grade Fair.
