Description
Vinyl LP: BLACK SABBATH "Black Sabbath" (VERTIGO VO 6) original UK stereo 1970 FIRST pressing (in gatefold sleeve, with swirl inner)
You are bidding on the legendary FIRST PRESSING of this classic progressive masterpiece. Label states "A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT" indicating this is from the genuine first pressing. Matrix runout reads: VO6 1Y*1 420 and VO6 2Y*1 420 - the first 1/1 stampers. The sleeve lists "OSSIE OSBOURNE" and group names in CAPITALS. Copyright text reads "Copyright subsists in all Stereo recordings...". These three points are what makes this a GENUINE FIRST PRESSING. A great addition to any serious progressive collection...

DESCRIPTION : Most Black Sabbath albums went to a fair few parties in their time - NOT THIS ONE! Record is in amazing shape, with no scratches or scuffs - plays beautifully. Labels have previous owner's name written in blue pen on each side ("Keith" - see photos). Gatefold sleeve has some light edges wear - Keith has written his name on the inside bottom left of the gatefold (see photo) - this has been lightly scratched out and coloured in with black pen, so isn't too noticeable on the black background. Swirl inner bag is nice. So, an amazing listening copy which has the previous owner's name on it...

SMALL PRINT : I am first and foremeost a collector, and grade strictly as I wish everyone would. Records will be well-packed between cardboard, and sent in record mailers. In the interests of the environment, these will be recycled whenever possible. Albums will be removed from outer sleeve to avoid seam splits in transit. All records are sent with a certificate of posting, if you wish additional insurance please ask – I cannot be held responsible for missing parcels.
