Album Notes: monaural recording and "ultra high fidelity." This 2nd album by Bo Diddley was ranked #214 on The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine.

Record is overall in EXCELLENT condition with a VERY GOOD PLUS Cover.

• Vinyl: is free of obvious scratches with only a little dust. Side 2 has some faint smudges that might be finger prints. Side Label is clear, with a little wear visible at spindle hole. Overall vinyl is still bright and shiny.

• Album Cover: is free of writing and intentional marks. The years have left their mark with some age toning to the back. A little evidence of gentle wear over time in some light scuffing, fraying along edges and barely a 1/4" start of splits from opening.Preserved in plastic cover.
• Interior Dust Sleeve: age darkened, with ring creases and expected edgewear.

Ellas McDaniel (born Ellas Otha Bates, December 30, 1928 – June 2, 2008), known as Bo Diddley, was an American R&B singer, guitarist, songwriter and music producer who played a key role in the transition from the blues to rock and roll, and influenced artists including Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Yardbirds, Eric Clapton, the Who, Jimi Hendrix and Parliament-Funkadelic.

His use of African rhythms and a signature beat, a simple five-accent hambone rhythm, is a cornerstone of hip hop, rock, and pop. In recognition of his achievements, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Rhythm and Blues Foundation[3][6] and a Grammy Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He is also recognized for his technical innovations, including his distinctive rectangular guitar.
