This album was the 1st album recorded by Caetano Veloso at the London exile, imposed by the effective political dictatorship in Brazil!
It’s a sadly beautiful album, plenty of rich melody's lines! It is certainly his roughest album and an excellent portrait of the essence of Caetano's music, at that difficult time. It's the simplest basic tracks instrumentation in Caetano's records.
It has only Acoustic Guitar (Gilberto Gil), Electric Bass and Drums (or percussion). In some moments there is a background of flutes and Strings Orchestra.
The curious is that the lyrics from all the songs wroten by Caetano are in English language. Exception from to the "ASa Branca", wroten by Luiz Gonzaga.
