Album Notes: Produced by Frank Zappa, who gave Don Van Vliet (aka Captain Beefheart) full creative freedom. Trout Mask Replica is the third album by Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band, and is widely regarded as the masterpiece of Van Vliet's musical career, as well as one of the most influential rock albums ever recorded. Its uniqe musical style included such elements as polyrhythm, multi-octave vocals, and atonality. (wikipedia). Although not initially well-received in the U.S., it spent a week at #21 on the UK charts.

Record is overall in EXCELLENT condition with a VERY GOOD Cover.- Vinyl:
- Both are bright and shiny with clean and unmarked labels. A little dusty.
- Both records have some light warping that does not affect playback.
- Side 3 has a scratch through tracks 4, 5, and 6 that does not seem to affect play.
- Please Note: Vinyl has been visually inspected. Please contact us if you have concerns about how the record plays.
- Album Cover: Is clean, and free of writing with mostly clear artwork. Interior exhibits a minor disc impression. Front and back have moderate ring wear. Edges are rubbed.
- Interior Dust Sleeve:Original linersare in nice shape. One has a 1/4" folded crease at opening and has a partial split at opposite side.
- Insert: Is free of writing, and has some light foxing and gentle crinkles.
- Album may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear.
