This disc is a "straight to stereo tape" recording, ie not recorded on multi-track tape and then mixed to stereo later, possibly by engineers who were not at the original recording sessions, but played together in the studio, and the resulting performance recorded to stereo tape. This cuts out several stages in the recording process and yields far higher recorded quality than the listener is used to.
Sheffield Lab records were made in the 1970s with incredible attention to detail and are highly sought after nowadays.
This however is not a "Direct to Disc" record, which Sheffield specialised in at first, ie the music was balanced in the studio, mixed to stereo and the result cut straight to a master disc lacquer in real time. These discs are very hard to come by these days.

CONDITION
DISC - Excellent, As New condition. The disc's surfaces are in superb condition. No marks around either label and the disc appears to have been very carefully handled. No hairlines visible even in strong light.
SLEEVE - Slight ring-pressure wear to the front and rear. Slight compression to lower front corners. Edges fine with no damage ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
