Description

This auction is for an original classic LP by Chuck Berry, titled “Chuck Berry Is On Top”.

 

This album was put out on the Chess Records label, LP-1435 Monaural in 1959.

 

This record is an original 1959 (1st pressing), with the black Chess Label.

 

The record & jacket are in very nice condition.

 

Record label is clean with little to no wear. The spindle hole is near perfect.

 

The LP itself is conservatively rated at very good plus+ condition. Only under the brightest of light can you find small scratches and small scuffs. Plays well throughout.

 

Cover listed as Very Good+ to excellent. No split’s, writing, tape or other repairs.

All edges are fine with no chipping. Only wear is aging, where the old-glue discolors on rear.

 

Overall…a nice LP for the discriminating collector. Not Mint…but not over $300 either.
