Description:  Collection of hard to find recordings by the group that later became known as Creedence Clearwater Revival, previously released as singles on the Fantasy and Scorpio labels and using the name Golliwogs.  The singles are extremely rare and expensive.  Here you can have the music for less.

Condition:  Very Good +

This LP is from our personal collection.  Personal circumstances require a major liquidation of literally hundreds of records.  Pictures show actual album.  Poly sleeve included.  We try to be very modest in our condition ratings.  "Very Good +" is our highest rating for unsealed albums.  

Having owned a small record shop in the 1980's and 1990's we do our best to provide a fair description of each item and its condition.  But see below for a detailed explanation of our rating guidelines.  Also see our feedback comments for what others have said about us!  If you have any questions about this item or the terms of sale please ask before you bid.

WARNING - BEWARE OF SNIPERS

A few weeks ago my listings included a NOTICE to buyers that I did not appreciate "snipers," and encouraged all those interested to bid early, or else I might withdraw the album from sale.  Unfortunately, it backfired.  Unsuspecting buyers bid early and the snipers still sniped, which disappointed both me and the affected buyers.  Sad to say, it appears there are only two effective ways to protect yourself.  The first is to place your absolute "sky's-the-limit" maximum bid on the item.  If you get sniped then, well, the sniper can have the item because you would not have paid more anyway.  The second option is to become a sniper yourself.  Google "ebay sniper" and check out the links.  However, please be aware I am still reserving the right to withdraw albums consistent with ebay policy that I believe are not getting the kind of traffic they ought to.  And, there is still the risk that another sniper could bid more than you anyway.  It's your call.

HERE ARE OUR ALBUM RATING GUIDELINES:

ONE RATING PER ITEM.  We generally provide only one rating per item.  Some sellers rate the jacket, inserts and disc separately.  We have found most collectors are interested in the overall presentation.  Occasionally one rating will not adequately describe an item, such as when there is one significant blemish to an otherwise very clean piece.  In those cases we will include a brief description of the blemish and how it affected the rating.

NO "MINT" RATINGS.  We never rate any album as "Mint" or "Near Mint" because we consider them misnomers in the record business.  Our closest similar rating is "Sealed."  

NEARLY ALL COLLECTOR'S ALBUMS SHOW SOME WEAR.  Our experience is that most collector's albums WILL show some wear.  Indeed, the reason they are collectible is that they are both rare and popular - which consequently means they have likely seen some use; hopefully gentle use, but use nonetheless. 

"VERY GOOD" AND "VERY GOOD +" RATINGS ARE SUBJECT TO MAJOR DEBATE:  By far the greatest debate among collectors is what constitutes a "Very Good" or "Very Good +" rating.  The overwhelming majority of collectable vinyl falls into one of these two categories.  By our rating system, both should be pleasing to the eye and play with barely audible or no surface noise.  These ratings are distinguished basically by the overall presentation of the item.  Items with either rating should be a welcome addition to most collector's libraries.

A "Very Good +" will look and sound like it is new or relatively new. 

A "Very Good" item will have some evidence of routine use, perhaps some shelf wear or maybe small scuffs on the disc, but still look and sound nice.  

"GOOD" IS JUST THAT:  By our rating system, a "Good" record will have some blemishes, perhaps a record ring, torn jacket, aftermarket stickers, handwriting, or maybe scratches that do not affect play.  Nonetheless, the item should be more than adequate for most purposes until a better copy is found.

"FAIR" AND "POOR":  The only time anyone should buy an item rated "Fair" or "Poor" is when the buyer places some value on simply owning the item.  Items in "Fair" condition are likely to show significant damage and to skip or otherwise sound bad.  Records in "Poor" condition should probably just be thrown away.
