Description
Nice lot of Classical collectables. Covers and labels as pictured. Records are clean and relatively dust-free, but a good clean with record vac is always advisable. All contain occasional duo or trio of pops or clicks, as most records do.
Walter's Mahler Das Lied: Columbia 6 eye, gorgeous gatefold cover; intact, shiny laminate. NM- Cover. Vinyl is NM, extremely well-cared for. No hairlines or scuffs, stored in original U-bags. Labels have very light spindle marks.
Walter's Beethoven 6th: Columbia 6 eye, cover is moderately worn, with flaking on top and bottom seam, seam splits as pictured, writing on back. Cover: Good. Vinyl is VG+, some light, non-sounding hairlines and scuffs. Moderate spindle marks on label.
Reiner's Mussorgsky Pictures at an Exhibition: RCA Shaded Dog, "Living Stereo" in small print, (earliest pressing), Indianapolis pressing, 8s/7s. Cover has wrinkle across front, edges and corners intact but overall slightly worn, creases on back right corner as pictured. VG+ Cover. Vinyl is Vg+ the few scuffs and hairlines are non-sounding but more visually pronounced. Label as pictured.
Ricci "Violin Showpieces," SEALED UK-pressed London Treasury. As pictured.
Shafran/Ginsberg Beethoven Cello Sonatas on the US late Columbia Odyssey Label. Gatefold cover shows light ringwear and moderate edgewear, significant bottom/right corner dent and wear. Cover: Good. Vinyl is NM with exception of some sounding crackle at the beginning of Side 2 (3rd Sonata) that dissipates about 30 seconds in. Otherwise, looks shiny and very well-handled.
Rabin plays "Violin Encores," (a late US Angel Seraphim repressing of Capitol's "Magic Bow"). Cover has significant edgewear and writing on back, including a library sticker. Cover: Good. Although a library edition, the vinyl is overall NM, but there is a small scuff on the lead-in wax, side 2.
Maag and the LSO perform Mendelssohn's music from Midsummer Night's Dream, UK London ffss narrow groove blueback. Cover has corner splits and ringwear on back, as pictured. Cover VG. Vinyl is NM: looks very well-handled, no scuffs or scratches. Label has small name stamp of previous owner on side 2.
Finally, The Fitzwilliam Quartet plays Shostakovich's String Quartets 4 and 12 on UK pink-label L'Oiseau-Lyre. Cover has ringwear and writing on the back, as pictured, and very light corner foxing. Vinyl is NM,
