Description
From the 1950s when Wilfred Briggs was "Music Master" of the Landon School, an all-boys school in Bethesda, MD, so I would date this to be in the 1950s. The record was stored in a textured brown jacket with white labels describing the front and back of the jacket. The jacket is in VERY GOOD CONDITION, with light corner wear, little edge wear. Something was once taped to the Side 2 side of the jacket. This apparently was part of a "National Symphony Orchestra Children's Concert" which took place in Constitution Hall in Washington DC. Wilfred Briggs was conducting and Howard Mitchell was narrating. The performances include: Subdue Us Through Thy Kindness on Side 1, and Let Us Now Praise Famous Men, Old Mother Hubbard, and Vector Hely Hutchinson on Side 2. The record was stored without an inner sleeve, one added for the listing. It had a good layer of dust on it. I cleaned most of it off, and the record LOOKED PLAYABLE with some light scratches over clean vinyl, I'll grade VG+.
