Description

Folkways FA 2941 C/D, Part 1 of a 4 LP box set and (confusingly) part two of Leadbelly's Last Sessions Volume One.  TIGHTLY SEALED, with no breaks in the seal, no bargain bin notches, price sticker top left front shrink.  
This is a 1962 Mono Reissue of a recording first issued in 1953.  Recorded over 3 nights in September/October 1948 in the NYC apartment of Frederic Ramsey Jr. Apart for a few minor edits, the sessions are presented as recorded, including Leadbelly's often illuminating introductions and general between-song chat.
