Description

Leny Andrade (1943–2023) was a renowned Brazilian singer and musician known as the "First Lady of Brazilian Jazz". A pioneer in blending bossa nova, samba, and American jazz, she was celebrated for her technical scat singing and husky vocal style. She released her debut album, A Sensação, in 1961.
This self-titled LP was released in 1985 on Pointer Records of Brazil.  Jacket with light edge and corner wear, no splits, a few light soil marks, some age-toning around the edges of the white jacket, a previous owner name/address label on front jacket top right, light rings both front and back, NICELY INSCRIBED, DATED (1986), AND SIGNED BY LANY ANDRADE ON BACK JACKET.  The LP is inscribed to "Sid and Virginia" and the address label on front jacket is that of Sid Levy of Washington DC.  Two copies of the lyric sheet were found inside the jacket.  The LP was stored in a plain white inner sleeve, it LOOKS QUITE PLAYABLE with maybe a faint scratch or scuff over clean vinyl, I'll grade in the range of VG++ to NM.
