12" 33 rpm THE ROLLING STONES Beggars Baquet ( Stereo ) Decca SKL 4955 Original 1st pressing 1968 from the UK Matrix: XZAL-8476-1K & XZAL-8477-1K Mother stampers: 1 M & 1 B C Sleeve type: Fully laminated gatefold
Vinyl: Visual, EXCELLENT, looks to be played with great care, a few light paperscuffs Audio, EXCELLENT, plays great Sleeve: GOOD+, has storage wear on the spine, chips of laminate are gone, dicolouration but NO splits! Inner sleeve: Polylined white with blue print and dated 11-68, NO splits Labels: EXCELLENT, very light wear Note: This is an early release 1st pressing, indicated by the following facts: The first cover was printed by Garrod and Lofthouse. The time in between the decission on how the cover should look like and the actual manufacturing was probably very short. They had no time to wait for the Patent to be registered so they had to put the "Patent Pending" text next to the name. After getting the Patent issue solved, they removed the additional text from the sleeve. Can be found on both Mono and Stereo sleeves. Matrix endings are 1K / 1K. Inner sleeve is the correct one for the earliest 1st pressings, dated 11-68
Playgraded on a Technics SL-23 with Ortofon OM 10 element with eliptic stylus, NAD PP-2 pre-amp, Denon AVR 2311 receiver and Monitor Audio speakers 2 RX-8 front & 2 RX-6 rear. Visual graded by bright daylight.
