CONDITION

SLEEVE : very impressive / no writing or splits and the spine is intact / no creasing or ring-wear / a little wear along the entrance however only minimal / difficult to fault otherwise and presents very nicely

EXTRAS : the photo inner sleeve is as new / the 2 page lyric insert is as new / the blue flyer promoting this unique Aussie release on one side and Police albums on the other is also near new

DESCRIPTION

Gathering the best jazz musicians around Sting has managed to come up with a really strong album here. The playing is of amazing high quality and covers an interesting variety of style pop-rock-classical-jazz and delta blues all played with real invention and sophistication.

Rated by most as the best album in Sting's entire solo career with none of his subsequent efforts matching the technical and artistic brilliance here… and that includes the much acclaimed ‘Nothing Like The Sun’.
The great jazz ensemble of the era (Kenny Kirkland, Omar Hakim and the others) featured here makes this killer solo album now a seminal classic.

The “extras” included here (i.e. the inner sleeve, fold-over lyric insert and unique ‘blue’ flyer certainly make this an attractive package for collectors.
