This auction is for an original 1967 LP by The Beatles titled “Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.A classic recording produced by George Martin.
Recorded in England during 1967 on the Capitol "Color Band" Records label, catalog #MAS 2653.The gatefold LP includes the insert cut-outs & colored inner sleeve as well.
Album plays nicely with a lot of gloss & little wear, rated at Excellent+. The inner sleeve is also Excellent+, while the cover is Very Good+ showing minor spine wear.
Notations:
Capitol Color Band label, catalog# MAS 2653 MONO, early pressing from 1967.1967 Original mono Color Band label that came with red/white inner sleeve.
A2 title: "A Little Help From My Friends”
Does not have NEMS or Maclen Music credits on the back, lower right corner.
Scranton pressing plant label, identified with the "IAM" triangle stamp in the matrix.
