PROMO sticker on cover
I bought this LP unopened in April 1975.
Cover - Shrink on. Cutout hole top left. Price tag on shrink. “TERRIFIC VALUE” sticker and the round, gold Promo / Columbia Special Products sticker are under the shrink. Because two stickers are under the shrink, and the shrink is not pierced at the cutout hole, this was reshrunk. A Steve Hoffman threads talk about reshrinking back then. Not unusual for resellers to do that if the record had damaged, or no shrink. Doesn’t affect the vinyl at all. No writing, no cardboard splits. 4 on the back cover, bottom right, indicates the cover was printed by the Imperial Packing Co Inc Indianapolis IN.
The cover is subpar though. Ringwear and corner bumps. The bottom edge has some color worn off. The white areas on the back are dirty. But no creases or splitting to the cardboard.
Vinyl - Some rubs. Plays wonderfully. Regular yellow EPIC labels, no PROMO printing.
Sleeve - Clear plastic.

I do believe this to be a first pressing.
Being a PROMOTIONAL ALBUM (sticker), this probably sat in the radio station’s archive for some years, maybe a DJ’s private stock. The ring wear, mild corner bumps, indicate handling but not carelessness. Probably didn’t have shrink originally. The cover isn’t top tier, but the vinyl is. The labels are standard issue, no promo indications.
I heard about this group from a friend. Don’t remember hearing them on the radio. They fit right in with the harder core of Rock in 1966. Kinks, Stones, Animals, RnR Beatles, Who, Yardbirds. They toured with the Beatles in 1966. Whoa.
They had enthusiasm and the ability to come right at you.
I go with the liner notes for the personnel on this LP. Some sites list the earlier drummer, and no harmonica. The notes have N D Smart lll as drummer, and Bill Briggs adding harmonica, but not too often.
